By Susan Prince, JD, Legal Editor BLR
Effective January 1, 2013, employers must update their FCRA notices. The forms are being updated to reflect that enforcement of FCRA is now under the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), rather than the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
The forms which must be updated include:
A Summary of Your Rights Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act
Notice to Furnishers of Information: Obligations of Furnishers Under the FCRA
Notice to Users of Consumer Reports: Obligations of Users Under the FCRA
